ABOUT OUR HOSTS:
Pei Ketron is a photographer and educator based in San Francisco who spent a decade teaching special education in the public school system before becoming a freelance travel and commercial photographer. Pei regularly teaches photography and social media classes privately and through companies such as Creative Live, The Image Flow, and the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops. In addition to her experience with DSLR and medium-format film photography, Pei is also an accomplished mobile photographer and she works on the Lightroom team at Adobe. View Pei’s work here.
Christopher Michel is an accomplished photojournalist. His collection includes photographs from extreme locations like the North & South Poles, Everest, East Greenland, Papua New Guinea, DR Congo and at the edge of space (aboard a U-2 Spy Plane). His photographs have been used by National Geographic, the Smithsonian, the New York Times, the BBC, Outside Magazine, and others. Chris is also the Editor at Explorers, an instructor at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, and an adventure guide with Natural World Safaris, leading trips in the Polar regions. Marcus Ubungen is a commercial director and filmmaker based in San Francisco. He started his career as a photographer and cinematographer, shooting lifestyle images for retail brands before transitioning to direct full time. His ongoing project, street portraits of strangers in San Francisco, represents a here-and-now look at the city’s diverse group of residents. View Marcus’s work here.
