Today, ONA is proud to launch the ONA x Tutes capsule collection, our collaboration with longtime friend-of-ONA, photographer Jose “Tutes” Tutiven. The collection features Tutes’s two go-to camera bags—the Bowery and the Camps Bay backpack—in a green-and-orange colorway inspired by the classic MA-1 bomber jacket, a reference to Tutes’s personal style and Bronx roots.
To preview the collection, ONA, Tutes, and Adorama hosted a free photowalk in the South Bronx—attended by over 50 local photographers—which stopped at local small businesses and artist studios. Below, learn more about the collaboration and see highlights from the walk, captured by Bronx photographer Dondre Green of Bronx Narratives.
Known for his trend-setting urban portraiture, Tutes has partnered with both ONA and Adorama since his early days as a full-time photographer, most notably as one of the first photographers featured in Adorama TV’s popular “Through The Lens” web series.
“ONA has been my primary bag for my entire career as a photographer,” says Tutes. “The Camps Bay is my go-to for assignments, and the Bowery is the perfect fit for my personal work. It was important to me that the collaboration represent my community, so we worked together to make sure the details fit my style and New York and the Bronx as a whole.”
The ONA x Tutes collection is handcrafted from durable 1000D CORDURA® and features pebbled black leather accents and gunmetal solid brass hardware.
