Last month, I spent three days being charmed by the city of Paris. I arrived without an agenda but was determined to indulge in as many lush gardens, buttery croissants, renowned museums, and exclusive boutiques as I could squeeze into three short days.
I couldn’t get enough of all of the pretty Parisian gardens and courtyards. Between the crisp fall air and the golden leaves, there’s so much to love about Paris in autumn. My hotel was right next to the Jardin du Palais Royal, a nice little oasis with classic tree-lined paths not far from the Louvre Museum.
When I read about JR’s Au Pantheon installation I knew I couldn’t miss it. The installation, which covers the dome, cupola, and the floor of the Panetheon, features the faces of thousands of people who submitted their photographs directly to JR through his website. It was pretty awesome.
A friend recommended that I visit a local Parisian market, and I’m so glad that I did. I went to Marche de la Bastille on a Sunday morning, bought a fresh croissant and cappuccino, and then walked the aisles of fresh fruits and vegetables, and breads and cheeses, and wished that I had more time to shop and explore.
