Between product and lifestyle photo shoots, we have plenty of chances to experiment with how much gear can fit in each ONA and how to style each bag. But we’re always inspired and impressed by how real-life ONA owners manage to make the bags work for them (keep sharing your photos with us on social media!), so we decided to highlight how some of our favorite photographers make their bag work for them.
“There’s something so magical about watching that picture come to life right in your hands,” Azuree Wiitala told us. No surprise that Azuree is one of the biggest proponents for film cameras, especially instant film. As a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Chicago, Azuree shoots digitally for work but thinks film is more fun. A traveler at heart, she loves to explore new cities or discover gems around her hometown–often capturing those little moments and grand landscapes on film.
Here’s what Azuree carries in her Roma Insert:
- Polaroid SX70
- A pack of Impossible Project Film
- Lomo LCA+ (my pocket camera I carry with me everywhere)
- iPhone 5
- Rayban Sunnies in case
- Le Petit Prince Moleskin Planner
- Baggu Leather Pouch (my wallet)
- Marc Jacobs heart shaped mirror
- Kate Moss lipstick (my newest obsession- so inexpensive and the best colors!)
- Polaroids shot throughout the day
“The pockets on the Roma are the perfect size for a box of film and to keep the film in once it’s been shot. My Moleskin also fits perfectly in one of the two front pockets and I keep my makeup and other loose “purse stuff” in the back pocket of the Roma. I have also been able to slide my iPad in there when meeting with clients.
This is how I most frequently use my ONA Roma Insert, when I’m just walking around town looking for inspiration and have my cameras with me. I have also used it when I’m on an engagement shoot and don’t need quite so many lenses to chose from. My Canon 6D with the Canon 35mm 1.4 on the body + Canon 50mm 1.4 fit perfectly in the insert.”
