Between product and lifestyle photo shoots, we have plenty of chances to experiment with how much gear can fit in each ONA and how to style each bag. But we’re always inspired and impressed by how real-life ONA owners manage to make the bags work for them (keep sharing your photos with us on social media!), so we decided to highlight how some of our favorite photographers make their bag work for them.
We first noticed Ren Davis on Instagram when she posted a gorgeous image of her Union Street in Pittsburgh. The Union Street Messenger Bag often gets pegged as a “man bag” so we were thrilled to see how gorgeously she styled it. Ren is a wedding and portrait photographer based in the Midwest who also has a way with words. She describes herself as a curious gal who sees things better with one eye in the view-finder, with a blog that’s an online time capsule made possible by her cameras. Isn’t that just fantastic? We love the way light infuses its way into her images and her attention to life’s beautiful little details–and the fact that she included her four-legged friend in the shot of what’s in her bag!
Here’s what Ren is carrying in her Union Street:
- Two Canon 5D Mark III (She has one in the bag and one slung on her shoulder)
- 50 mm 1.2 (Ren’s favorite lens!)
- 35 mm 1.4
- 24 mm 1.4
- 15 mm 2.8
- 8 Transcend Memory Cards 16GB
- AA Batteries
- Camera battery charger
- GoPro Hero 3
- 600EX-Rt Speedlite
- Burt’s Bees Chapstick
- Ray-Ban Shades
