Last week, more than 24,000 professional photographers and enthusiasts came together at Photo Plus International Expo in New York City to see the latest in photography trends and products. We were really excited to take part in the Leica S-Studio event at Milk Studios: we showed off our favorite styles, answered questions about our bags and met plenty of brilliant photographers.
ONA was on hand to lend camera bags to participants who joined blogger William Yan on a walking tour of the autumnal High Line. The event brought together Leica enthusiasts to test out the the newly launched Leica S, S-System CS Lenses and Leica Vario-Elmar-S 30-90mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH, while also featuring live shoots of dancers, fashion models and a rock band.
It kicked off with a party in the gorgeous Milk Studios Penthouse on Wednesday night to launch featured photographer Morgan Miller’s Homage to the Masters of Fashion Photography.
The Leica S-series was a huge hit with all of the photographers who tested it out. The iPad slideshow of the soon-to-be launched Leather Brixton Messenger Bag was also a hit: stay tuned, we’ll be announcing all of the details soon!
We were excited to showcase our stylish range of camera and laptop bags, and give a sneak peek at our soon-to-be launched styles. Many people didn’t realize that they were camera bags until we opened them up!
Street style photographer and blogger William Yan led walking tours of Manhattan’s gorgeous High Line. Participants were able to borrow the latest Leica models to test while capturing the beautiful autumnal colors on this historic elevated freight rail line turned public park.
Inside Milk Studios, dancers from the Broadway Dance Center gracefully twisted and twirled for photographers (and the growing audience on the High Line).
Featured photographer Morgan Miller captured images of models showcasing Peter Som designs, styled by Lauren Rae Levy. Throughout both shoots, he offered insight on his photographic process to Photo Plus attendees.
We loved this high-fashion look with the Brooklyn: proof that an ONA bag goes from day to night flawlessly.
Special thanks to Leica for putting on such an awesome event and inviting us to be a part of it!
