What’s in Sam Stroud's Berlin

Many photographers shoot multiple systems. Sometimes, it's one system for all professional work, and another for personal. Other times, it's one camera for the studio, and another for shooting outdoors. Sam Stroud is a perfect example. He carries the Berlin bag, a collaboration with our friends at Leica, though in this post he demonstrates how he makes his Berlin a multi-system kit that carries Leica and more! This is year 4 for Sam Stroud Photography. We are located in Virginia but shoot everywhere. We started with 10-12 weddings, and one shooter, me! Now there are 13 of us and we hit 130 weddings this past year spanning all over the US. I absolutely love what I do. And I know everybody says that -- when you're invested in it, maybe you have to say that. But I mean it. There is no greater experience for me than working with my clients. If I could, I would shoot a wedding every single day. When shooting weddings, I used to carry so much gear to weddings. 2 or 3 bodies, and every prime imaginable. But after awhile, I have learned to carry less and push the limits of what I am shooting. I feel less obtrusive and more connected. I try as best I can to shoot everything with my Leica M. But when I need it, I will shoot with the Canon 5D MK3.
